We can now arrest you for writing the words "suicide bomber" in a book.

The FBI never ceases to appall me. An airline passenger who was writing the words "suicide bomber" in his journal was reported by his fellow American subjects. We no longer have the right to either free speech or privacy, apparently-not only was the guy merely expressing himself, but he was expressing himself in a way where he would have a reasonable expectation of privacy.

They then arrested him on charges of being under the influence of drugs or alcohol. Don't you think that if this man had been a threat, they could have easily used terrorism as an excuse? But then again, using drugs or alcohol as an excuse is a police tactic as old as drug laws themselves... like the Dave Chappelle bit goes, "Just sprinkle some crack on him and call it good."

I seriously hope that whatever judge tries this case laughs this out of court, but then again with the way the justice system is going it wouldn't surprise me if they threw this guy's ass in Guantanamo out of spite.
